With the hand of a classic sign artist and the detail of a watchmaker, Stockholm based artist Martin Schmetzer makes hand drawn lettering with an addictive quality. His works are created using just his hand, a pencil or a pen and a lot of practiced skill.

These photographs have been taken over a period of nine years. These churches are the remnants of thousands that were built all over Russia from the time of Prince Vladimir, who, on his conversion to Christianity in 988, ‘ordained that wooden churches should be built and established where pagan idols had previously stood.

#MFW: DOLCE & GABBANA SPRING/SUMMER 2013

“We want to do it our way - we don’t want to be trendy,”. Dolce & Gabbana truly turned it out in this super diverse and huge Spring 2013 collection. Burlap sacks were turned into t-shirt dresses, the umbrella stripe motif was taken advantage of to the max, and scarf print creations flourished as well.

Inspiration for the designers is usually drawn from all over Italy - this time dabbling into the Roman era, taking soldier prints and putting it to cloth. They truly are great designers and make fashion very proud. Hot!

#PFW: CHANEL SPRING/SUMMER 2013

Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to give us the most innovative and creative presentation of every show this season. For Chanel Spring/Summer 2013, models strut their stuff down a runway made of solar panels between thirteen full sized wind turbines. The designer’s explanation was whimsical in the extreme: “I started sketching in Central Park, and it was so hot that I wanted fresh air,”

The collection featured a series of strapless white column dresses with intricate embroidery in floral patterns, shorts in sportswear mesh fabric, and rainbow jackets. The famous 2.55 handbag was also reconstructed into a half moon in-between two enormous hula hoops (one of our favorite pieces). An overall beautiful show with beautiful pieces.
